CHESHIRE LABELS

Cheshire labels are printed four across, with 44 addresses to a page. A machine must apply these labels. When these labels are applied to the direct mail, the addressing machine cuts the paper into labels and puts glue on the bottom service to apply to the direct mail piece. Mailing equipment can apply 10/M to 20/M labels per hour.

PRESSURE SENSITIVE LABELS, ALSO REFERRED TO AS "PEEL & STICK" LABELS

These are self-sticking labels that can be peeled from the wax-type paper service and applied to the direct mail piece. These labels are normally use when small quantities of records are ordered (5M or less). Pressure Sensitive Labels can be applied by a machine, normally in a one-up format.
