Dirmark was
founded in 1984, but its history actually dates back to the 1960’s via the
founder, whose direct marketing list and database development started with
employment at Dun & Bradstreet, and later at National Business Lists, and MDR.
The founder, M.E. Newton, is recognized as a leader in list technology
development and market research, along with developmental programs to analyze
customer files and to ferret out target lists for the maximum results.
Over the years, Mr. Newton has worked with some of the top Fortune 500
companies, including Coca-Cola, S.C. Johnson Company, Southern Bell, Bell South,
Office Depot, Staples, and many others, along with numerous mail order companies
and lead programs for business and consumer marketers.
With Mr. Newton’s
leadership, Dirmark team is in continuous training of its list consultants with
discussion of case histories, database management, market profile reports,
behavior clusters, consumer spending triggers, executive title buying authority,
data processing, postal procedures and ways to obtain lowest possible mail
delivery costs. In research, his expertise ranges from regression analysis to
data mining, data warehousing, and data overlays of client files, with accompany
ranking values reports.
Some of Mr. Newton’s special accomplishments are:
Writing and publishing various business guides and selling these products via direct mail. This resulted in the creation of two publishing houses that were later sold.
Founding the Southeast Direct Marketing Association where he was president for two years. During this period he managed eight major direct marketing seminars.
DMA (Direct Marketing Association) speaker, where he discussed direct marketing research techniques and strategies.
Round Table Discussions: sharing direct marketing concepts with prominent experts like Ed Mayer, Ed Burnett, Rene G’nam, Hershel Gordon Lewis, James Bernard, Sam Wasserman and numerous others.
Part-time
Lobbyist for the DMA (Direct Marketing Association), where he helped to keep
members of Congress aware of the importance of Direct Marketing, with special
emphasis on Internet Marketing.
Mr. Newton
